Everything we know about the series derived from Luke Grimes Kayce Dutton

Good news, you “yellowstone” loving the humans. After all the secrets and rumors that came out of the Bunkhouse, it was now confirmed that the troubled but stupidly heroic son of Dutton, Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes), finally obtains his own spin-off series after the events of the original show that ended earlier this year. He marks another corner of the map of the constant expansion universe of Taylor Sheridan after the prequel emissions “1883” and “1923” (the latter ended in a second season in April), as well as the four other derivative programs which are in development.

The new show, entitled “Y: Marshals”, should be broadcast on CBS and will follow the next chapter of the youngest son of Dutton after having abandoned the family home and all the land that accompanied him. As he was predicted in “1883” (“in seven generations, you can have it”), Kayce sold the ranch by acre for $ 1.25 to chef Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham), leaving him, his sister Beth (Kelly Reilly) and his brother-in-law, Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) to go. But what story “Y: do the marshals” do they plan to tell, who else is or could be involved, and more importantly, what are the chances that Kayce’s journey continues the name of Dutton’s family is found on the television patch of someone else, namely Beth and Rip, who is guaranteed to find drama at their door whenever their program takes place? Well, these Dutton certainly like to keep it in the family, after all.

Who plays in Kayce Dutton’s spin-off?

We do not need to be a marshal to realize that a Kayce Dutton show will require the return of Luke Grimes taking over his role as a holder hero, after spending five seasons playing the character, who had long -standing problems with the lifestyle of his family. When we were presented for the first time to “Yellowstone”, Kayce kept his distance from the family ranch and its interior operation. Over time, he has become one of the most convincing characters in the series after spending so much time looking outside. Finally, he returned as a prodigal son who took the future of the Dutton dynasty in his hands after the death of his father.

Although he is not yet confirmed which support stars will appear in the series, he goes without saying that his wife on the Monica screen, played by Kelsey Asbille, will return for the spin-off. We will also probably see their son, Tate, who was initially played by Brecken Merrill in “Yellowstone”, return. Given for the last one, hoping to go in a peaceful life, we do not know where or how the rest of the immediate family of Kayce could play a role in the approaching chapter, given the amount of drama which was taken to them in the original series. A safe bet could be made that even more will be directed, in particular given the details which were also revealed following the announcement of the show.

What is the La Maréchaux?

With each episode of the “Yellowstone” universe, the main objective was on different eras of the Dutton family drama which stems from its member regularly. For once, “Y: Marshals” seems, however, that it could move away from Kayce’s house on the range, and focus on the work that we have sometimes seen it near the end of the show. According to the official line line of the series (by variety), “with the Yellowstone Ranch behind him, Dutton joins an elite unit of American marshals, combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy Seal to bring justice to Montana, where he and his teammates must balance the family, homework and the high psychological cost that comes with the service of the last line of defense of the region violence.”

Even old, even old for Kayce then? After his stay in war and family problems, he has always been taken, he could just as well contract a loan for the “psychological cost” he will pay in the new show. Hopefully, some Kayce colleagues will be there to support it and receive the same level of attention as the former Dutton Ranch staff. However, this kind of decision -making comes down to people behind the camera, and although Sheridan can be involved in the creative process, the responsibility for managing “Y: Marshals” is assigned to someone who has already collaborated with a team full of action in the past.

Who realizes and writes Y: the marshals?

Until now, the real chief of the Dutton dynasty, Taylor Sheridan, has managed each chapter that we have seen linked to the world of “Yellowstone”, but “Y: Marshals” marks a new era for another creator well paid to intervene and manage the work of Kayce and homework as a lawyer, husband and father in the future. This work is appointed to Spencer Hudnut, who intervenes as a writer, executive producer and showrunner for the spin-off.

For Hudnut, it really seems that a match made in television paradise, since the most notable effort in his repertoire is the series of David Boreanaz, “Seal Team”, which lasted seven seasons before ending last year. Given the explosive nature and full of action of this program, there is no doubt that Hudnut could transparently apply the tension with which “the seal team” was grouped and add it to an already trying series which saw assassinations, explosions of Methamphetamine laboratory and people quenching after having evaluated an attack of bear.

The outright moments of “Yellowstone” will continue, but to fill the Sunday evening niche in 2026, could there be a chance that the other long-awaited Dutton story will soon obtain an update, or perhaps even characters who come to check Kayce in the meantime? Kayce offered her help to her brother-in-law in Perma-Grumpy in the final “Yellowstone”, but is there a chance that he himself calls a favor before RIP and that his beloved obtaining their own spectacle too?

Will Kayce Dutton go through other benefits?

We do not know if “Y: the marshals” could or will bleed in the rest of the world “Yellowstone”, but it is too much opportunity to pass. This would mark the first time in the television franchise that the characters exist in the same time and the same time zone, unlike “1883” and “1923”, so there is no reason why Kayce is not found in danger which crosses Dutton Business, or Vice Versa.

At the end of “Yellowstone”, Kayce made a promise to tear that he would be there if necessary to install the new house that he and Beth created for themselves, but we all know that he does not only mean in a new barn door. The danger and the duties go hand in hand, so it would be great to see the happy couple swinging by Kayce’s house or the marshal’s office to see how he goes or ask themselves. This would also develop its own derived history, or even one that may not involve a Dutton for a change.

Let us not forget that Jimmy Hudstrom (Jefferson White) is in Texas in the oven sixth ranch in “6666”. There is also the long -awaited show, “The Madison”, with Michelle Pfeiffer as New Yorker who moves west and could simply cross one or two Dutton in the process. For the moment, we can wait until next year to see the return of at least one former resident of Yellowstone when Kayce begins to repress the cases in 2026.
