Automobile Giant & Fintech Start-up shows interest in Indian sponsorship after Dream11

The DREAM11 agreement with the Indian Cricket team ended prematurely, and it seems that large companies have already started to demonstrate their interest, to become sponsors.

After the release of Dream11 as a sponsor of the Indian cricket team, many is at stake. The Asian 2025 Cup is fast approaching and the team is left without sponsor, after “the promotion and regulation of the online game bill” was recently adopted in Parliament. But a new report in NDTV suggests that two large companies have shown their interest to become the sponsors of Team India.

Even if the BCCI has not launched a call for tenders so far, the name Toyota Motor Corporation and a Fintech start-up have arisen. In fact, more money is expected from the previous Dream11 agreement now. Before that, the secretary of the BCCI, ahead of Saikia, had clearly indicated that they would follow all the laws.

“If it is not allowed, we will do nothing. The BCCI will follow all the policies of the country which are supervised by the central government,” said Saikia. That said, the Indian team jersey with Dream11 printed on them is already ready, but they will not be used now.

Regarding the agreement with Dream11, they came on board in 2023. The agreement was worth 358 INR crore, in which 3 INR crores were reserved for each home game, while a crore was reserved for outside games. Meanwhile, at the 2025 Asian Cup, the men of Suryakumar Yadav should play a maximum of three games against Pakistan. But for that, the two teams will have to reach the event final.

A few days ago, the Indian team was announced for the tournament, and two contenders probably, Shreyas Iyer and Yashavi Jaiswal were left out; which started a mini-debate on social networks.
