Jaxson Dart obtained another taste of living as a quarter of the NFL on Thursday evening.

His first fear of injury.

With less than three minutes for the first quarter of the Giants’ pre-season match against the Patriots visiting New England, the New York recruit left the pocket and freed itself for a long term. When the defensive back of the patriots, Craig Woodson, tried to attack it, Dart cut inside where the second dragging Jack Gibbens slammed it to the ground.

Dart seemed to hit his head on the ground and was assessed on the sidelines for a concussion.

According to the broadcast of Amazon Prime, Dart has erased the concussion protocol although he was not returned to the game. The cameras then attracted the head coach by Giants Brian Daboll, discussing with Dart on the touch, seeming to say joking to his quarter to slide.

“There are certain times when you made the right decision,” said Dabolls to journalists after the match when he was asked about the balance of Dart’s aggressiveness with the nature of playing in the quarter. “I would say that this particular game is probably a good time to slip, our third pre-season match.”

Dart, asked him if he should have slipped to finish the game, replied: “Yes, I mean, first of all, shouldn’t have groped. I was never removed from a game for the air to be knocked out, so it was the first. But, I mean, I honestly felt that I could be threatened when I saw the open ground. blow on me.

“But I think that honestly, as if it was just based on the situation. If you are going to take a big blow, then you slip. I did not feel in a situation where I was going to take great success, so I felt like I could prolong the game and do something about it.”

Dart finished match 6 out of 12 for 81 yards and a pass of 7 yards at Greg Dulcich at only 2:01 of the match. The giants won the match easily, 42-10, to finish a 3-0 pre-season.

Dart, selected 25th in total on Ole Miss, finished pre-season 32 out of 47 (68.1%) for 372 yards with three affected and no interception. Daboll has already announced that the veteran Russell Wilson will start the season as a quarter-rear starting from the giants.

New York opens the regular season in Washington on September 7.
