Walmart offers 30% additional grocery discounts

Walmart, the country’s largest private employer, has increased the number of discounts it offers, in particular in its grocery business, as it seeks to compensate for the impact of prices and attract buyers.

In his report on the profits of the second quarter, the retail giant said that he offered more than 7,400 “rollbacks” or discounts, during the three -month period, ending in July. Walmart also offered 30% additional grocery discounts compared to a year earlier.

The retail giant has partially attributed its strong growth in sales to increased discounts in stores as well as the convenience of electronic and omnichannel offers. Its sales of electronic commerce increased by 26% during the quarter.

The company increased its prospects for the year 2026, providing that sales will increase by 3.75% to 4.75%. Action profit (BPA) is now planned from $ 2.52 to $ 2.62.
