More than 30,000 ESR electricity banks remembered after the batteries caught fire, exploded

More than 30,000 wireless electricity banks sold in the United States and Canada have been recalled on battery reports that take fire and exploding, causing thousands of dollars in material damage.
The recall of ESR Halolock feeding banks affects products with 2G520, 2G505B and 2G512B model numbers, according to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The items have five circular LED lights on one side and were sold in dark blue, light blue, gray, white and black.
The products were available for purchase on Amazon, Home Depot and ESR Tech sites between September 2023 and July 2025. At least 24,000 were sold in the United States and nearly 10,000 were sold in Canada.

ESR has received nine batteries taking fire and exploding, causing $ 20,000 in material damage.
“The lithium-ion battery in the food banks recalled can overheat and run away, posing risks of fire and burns for consumers,” wrote the CPSC in its ad.
No injury was reported as part of the recall.
Consumers are invited to immediately stop using the recalled electricity banks and contacting the company for a full refund.

The product must be eliminated in accordance with local and state -ist regulations for hazardous waste, but should not be thrown into garbage, according to the CPSC.
“The recalled lithium-ion batteries must be eliminated differently from the other batteries, as they have a greater risk of fire,” wrote the CPSC.

“Your Municipal Household Holder Waste Center (HHW) can accept this lithium-ion battery or device recalled for elimination,” he added. “Before taking your battery or device to an HHW collection center, contact this office in advance and ask if it accepts the lithium-ion batteries recalled. If not, contact your municipality for more advice.”
