The developers continue Apple for having failed to comply with the order of payments in the application

A group of application promoters has filed a collective appeal against Apple on the heels of a court decision against the company for having violated an injunction of 2021 involving mobile purchases.

The collective appeal, filed on May 2, alleys that despite the injunction, Apple continued to prevent the developers of users to point users to purchases and integrated subscriptions outside the company’s own ecosystem, so that it does not lose the costs it charges the developers.

The collective appeal is a last round in a legal saga which mainly opposed the Epic Games, the publisher of Fortnite, to the largest technological company in the world. A simultaneous battle takes place between Epic and Samsung and Google on access to the windows of the app.

Lawyer Hagens Berman filed the complaint and has been appointed its main pure applicant Basketball, Inc, which has a free application to improve basketball skills. The pursuit indicates that Apple prevented the company from binding on a subscription page from its mobile application.

“Following Apple misconduct, lawyers estimate that potentially more than 100,000 applicants of applications located in a similar way have been prevented from selling integrated products (including subscriptions) directly to their customers, and were forced to pay the Apple commissions on sales integrated into Apple.

The way in which Apple and Google application stores govern the way in which subscriptions and integrated purchases are managed in applications have long been a controversial problem with developers. In 2020 and 2021, Apple, then Google lowered the 30% decline that they reach 15%, but only for developers whose applications earn less than a million dollars.

This change was not enough to avoid accusations of anti -competitive practices. Apple has continued to prevent developers from directing users outside of their applications, where they could obtain a greater profit margin or offer reductions on purchases or integrated subscriptions. Last week, a judge judged that Apple had violated his injunction and had to comply immediately.

A representative for Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comments.
