The NFL retracts the resale of the Super Bowl tickets by players, coaches and employees of the club.
The league plans to grant more than 100 players and around two dozen club employees who were tried to violate the NFL tickets resale as part of the Super Bowl 59 tickets, according to an internal memo of the Director of League compliance, Sabrina Perel, considered by CNBC.
An investigation revealed that these players and the staff sold these tickets for the resale of the “bundlers” for the benefit, according to the memo.
The players will be sentenced to a fine of 1.5 times the nominal value of the tickets they have sold, and the employees will be sentenced to a fine of twice the nominal value, according to a person familiar with the question which refused to be named speaking of non -public details.
Non-playing staff found in violation of the policy will also lose the possibility of buying future NFL tickets, according to the memo.
The league prohibits employees and players from selling NFL game tickets acquired from their employer for more than the nominal value of the ticket or more than the employee originally – depending on the least.
The League also takes measures to improve compliance training before the Super Bowl 60 and said it would increase penalties for future offenses.
“No one should personally benefit from his affiliation to the NFL to the detriment of our fans,” wrote Perel in the memo.
