29-year-old slugger Matt Renshaw is also a key player in the 2025-26 BBL who will miss the upcoming edition of the IPL. Despite being the second highest run-scorer in the BBL 2025-26 with 325 runs from nine innings, Renshaw will miss the IPL 2026 season after not registering in the auction.

Former Australian batter and veteran of the game, David Warner is also a big name who will miss the IPL 2026 edition despite scoring over 300 runs in the BBL 2025-26. Despite scoring over 6,500 points in the cash-rich league, Warner will not participate in the 19thedition after going unsold in the IPL 2025 auction, followed by non-registration for the 2026 season.

The highest wicket-taker in the BBL 2025-26 season with 18 wickets in eight innings, the right-arm medium fast bowler of the Melbourne Renegades will not participate in the IPL 2026. The 32-year-old, who last played in the IPL in 2015 with the Delhi Capitals (DC), continues to be ruled out of the tournament.
